VRA Donates Furniture to ATTC
The Volta River Authority (VRA) had donated 40 classroom tables and chairs to the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC) to facilitate teaching and learning. The donation was in response to a request that was made by the ATTC to VRA to support the school, during its 60th anniversary celebration.
Presenting the furniture to the school, Mrs Gertrude Koomson, Head of Corporate Communications, VRA, said that the donation was part of the Authority’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to improve education in the country.
She said that the Authority recognised the importance of education and would continue to support initiatives to improve teaching and learning. She urged the authorities of the school to put the furniture to good use and to ensure that they are well maintained.
Mr Ernest Bediako Asare, the Principal of ATTC, thanked VRA for the gesture and appealed to other corporate bodies for support to improve their infrastructural needs.
